Explore our vast range of colour options below. Click on a colour to order free samples or enquire now to find out if your preferred colour is available on your chosen piece of furniture. We may even have an image to help you visualise what this will look like!

If your preferred colour isn’t shown on the product page, simply select one of the available options and note your preferred colour in the Special Instructions box at checkout.

We make every effort to ensure that our web images match the actual finish of our furniture, through photographs and rendered images. However, due to variations in lighting, rendering software and computer monitor settings, the images you see on the website may vary slightly from the finish of the real-life product.

NZ Radiata Pine

The majority of our furniture is made from Radiata Pine timber which is sourced from sustainable FSC certified West Coast forests. Consistent rainfall, sufficient sunlight, especially during Spring and Summer, and the cool climatic conditions of the West Coast region of New Zealand are the reasons why quality Pine flourishes in this region. The light consistent colour of Radiata Pine readily accepts stains and its general properties make it ideal for producing high-quality furniture.

Please note that we do not recommend painted finishes for table tops due to susceptibility to scratches/marking in high use areas. Any orders for painted tables will incur extra cost and are not covered under warranty. There is an option of a two-tone finish where the base can be painted but the table top is stained; this will also incur extra cost but retains full warranty coverage. For more information on our finishing process, read our Furniture Finishing Guide.

American Ash

American White Ash is a porous hardwood that is dense and hard-wearing. It grows across the entire Appalachian area on the East Coast of the United States. American White Ash has a definite, well-defined grain which shows up beautifully with any of our stains.

Colour Matching

If you can’t find the right colour in our standard range, we can colour match to any Resene or Dulux colour that suits timber furniture. We can also stain match to your existing furniture. Just send us a sample, such as a drawer front or small piece of furniture, and we will mix a colour to match it as closely as possible.

Please note that timber is a natural product, so we can’t guarantee an exact match. The final colour depends on the timber species, the grain and how the timber takes the stain. With existing furniture or a sample, it also depends on the piece’s age and how much light and air it has been exposed to. Coastwood Furniture will make every reasonable effort to get the closest match possible. Any difference in colour or tone is a natural characteristic of timber and not a manufacturing fault.
