I love both beds I got from Coastwood. The tall one was a special order for my son who suffers from allergies. The double bed is far off the carpet and
the doggies can’t jump up on the bed. Problem solved. Also, he has amazing
storage underneath the bed for all his stuff.
My bed is a normal one, double, with a little step for the doggies to jump up as they sleep with me. I also have good storage underneath the bed. Our house is small so storage is precious.

The Coastwood Karamea base in Ash wood with a Coffee stain fits perfectly with my retro Mid Century headboard. Working with Coastwood was a great experience from initial discussions about enabling it to fit my headboard dimensions to increasing a standard double base size to a long double (hard to find anywhere). I definitely recommend getting some colour samples as these were invaluable to help me match the colour to the headboard. Packaging and delivery were great. The Karamea Bed Frame is beautiful, I love that it is solid wood - no veneer, I am just so impressed. I'd definitely recommend Coastwood to anybody looking for a bed frame.

Initially I was intending on purchasing just the 6 Drawer Neo Lowboy. It has not been imported, but instead individual pieces that have been picked out by us to go together, easily modified to our measurements and stained to a specific colour we chose with specific handles we decided on and then hand crafted and shipped to us, amazing! We are extremely happy with Coastwood Furniture. They made our wall unit to spec and we were extremely pleased with it. When it arrived we realised it didn’t have a top shelf and we requested if one could be made and to our delight they were happy to oblige and make a top for it.
I would definately recommend them for custom made furniture and it is all the better knowing that it is made in New Zealand from sustainable forests.

Absolutely perfect in what I envisaged my stereo cabinet to be. All measurements work out and I love the top lip with alloy trim. (Not that they are in the same room but I do love the similar style of top lip and alloy going across the front and round the sides of my older Chicago bedroom set and recent Veniece bedside table and chest of drawers from Paula’s furniture). I can’t thank Jonathan and the designer enough.

We have just bought one of your single beds from a shop in Dunedin and I just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the purchase.
The bed seems incredibly solid and it took me less than 5 minutes to put all together. I have recently dealt with my fair share of badly designed cheap import flatpacks (we’ve recently moved to a new house) and it was such a relief to finally deal with a straightforward and solid product.
