By now you’ve probably heard about all the great customisation options we offer here at Coastwood Furniture. And what better way to customise than with upholstery, with zillions of different fabrics to choose from. To help narrow down your search for the perfect upholstery fabric while still offering a great variety, we source our fabrics from four main suppliers which have many types to choose from. To learn about different types of upholstery fabric materials and their pros and cons, read our upholstery fabric types article here.
What fabric can I use on my Coastwood furniture?
Aside from imported sofas and chairs, all our upholstered furniture is upholstered in-house and customers are able to choose their own fabric, from any of the following suppliers:
Popular Fabrics:
At Warwick’s the Halo range is one we highly recommend. Halo is a range of high performance, easy-clean fabrics with materials that differ between designs, however polyester is most common. Halo fabrics are woven and tested to provide resistance to pilling, stains, mould, mildew and pests. From Charles Parsons popular upholstery collections are Jake and Direction, both of which are made of 100% polyester.
Different Fabric Types:
If you like fuzzy, pile fabrics, velvets from Warwick’s include the Essence collection and Charles Parsons offers the Venus range. For chenille fabrics, some options are Fletcher at Warwick’s and Aston at Charles Parsons.
If it’s genuine leather you’re after, Lapco fabrics are for you. Please note we can only use leather on barstools, bench seats and padded seat chairs not padded back chairs or headboards. However, Warwick’s designs Pelle and Eastwood have a leather-type look and are easily wipeable.
If you want something made entirely from natural fibres, Warwick’s and James Dunlop both offer 100% cotton and 100% linen fabrics as well as natural blends although all-natural fabrics are generally higher priced.
There are many more to choose from than those mentioned here with a lot of options of materials, colours and patterns so feel free to browse around to find just what you want.
Can I get fabric samples?
If you want to see and feel some fabrics in real life before making a decision, most of our furniture stockists should have fabric samples in store. If not, these can be ordered from our suppliers.
